The Project Focused on developing an urban action plan for Nuevo Uxmal, Mexico, designed to integrate social, environmental, economic, and cultural values. Our vision respected and celebrated the local Maya community, highlighting their essential role in Mexican heritage while addressing the challenges of modernity. The proposal was organized into four zones—Mercado, Bio-Parque, Comunidad, and Nuevo Uxmal Hotel—alongside a CATVI (Visitor Assistance Center) that offered an introduction to Mayan life, guiding international visitors on respectful engagement and interaction within the park. The CATVI featured an urban park with a pavilion, museum, bike paths, rental stations, and communal spaces, built with locally sourced materials such as bamboo, earth, stone, thatch, gravel, and native plants. Rooted in ecological sensitivity, the master plan emphasized organic spatial design inspired by Maya traditions, eco-friendly transportation, and the protection of endangered wildlife and flora, fostering a harmonious connection between people, culture, and nature.
